Father's Day Traditions

Our Father's Day Tradition is to have no traditions... But this year the kids made a candy bar poster. When asked what do you like about your dad the kids respond accordingly!

Roman says, " I like how dady tickles me!"
Ella says, "he reads me books."
Niko says, "he ...still thinking about it."
Xander says, "he takes Anna to the bathroom in the middle of the night so I don't have to."

Xander's adventure at scout camp

I am sure scout camp was memorable in some way. Xander's favorite parts we're not getting sunburned... Everyone else did, but Xander had a ritual of putting on sunscreen 4 times a day. When he woke up, after breakfast, after lunch, and at free time. Apparently the food at Camp Kimble is horrible unless you like corn dogs, raw hot dogs, sugary spaghetti, and meat that doesn't look or taste like meat. Xander did like the salad and refried beans.

He loved and finished the archery merit badge, he also finished the Lifesaving merit badge... Still working on the environmental science and astronomy.

The were a couple boys who didn't like to sleep, of course. But all the rest of the boys liked to sleep, go figure.

The Independants at Independence, PA!

We took a ghost tour in Philadelphia, which the boys loved. Highlights of the tour include a story of a man who walked into the independence Hall late at night while the security guards were on duty. The man was dressed in full revolutionary war uniform. The guard followed him in and searched the entire hall unable to find him. The guard decided to call the guards at the security desk to see if they could see anything on the security cameras. The guard on the phone, monitoring the cameras replied, you must be kidding, the man in the revolutionary costume is standing right next to you. Ooooh!
